When creating a hosting package, users receive a temporary URL.
Primary Use Cases
Domain Reference Scenarios: When a hosting package is created using a domain reference rather than a live domain, the hosting package won't be connected to a live domain name via DNS, so to view the files you've uploaded to the site you can use the temporary URL. Users can preview content on servers like stackstaging.com before going live.
Pre-Migration Testing: The recommended migration process includes: transferring site files/emails/databases, verifying functionality via the temporary URL, and finally pointing nameservers to Mandraled. This allows teams to check the site works at Mandraled Hosting via the temporary URL before making DNS changes.
Client Previews: Developers can showcase completed work to clients using the temporary URL without exposing it on the live domain.
Important Limitations
- The temporary URL does not support SSL — remove any hardcoded http-to-https redirects
- These servers operate at reduced capacity as they're just for trialing a website on the platform before going live
