Mandraled Hosting provides daily malware scans for all sites within hosting accounts. The system uses a combination of commercial and in-house tools to identify malicious content. When malware is detected, PHP mail is automatically disabled to prevent spam distribution.
Accessing the Malware Report
Log into the hosting control panel and select the Malware Report icon. The report displays the package containing the infection, last scan timestamp, and number of infected files.
Remediation Steps
- Review the malware report to identify infected files
- Replace infected files with clean versions from official downloads or delete unnecessary files
- Find and patch vulnerabilities within your site
- Maintain regular backups for recovery purposes
Additional Protective Measures
- Remove unused plugins and applications
- Keep all software updated
- Reset database and FTP passwords
- Update configuration files accordingly
Rescanning: After cleanup, initiate a manual rescan. Successful removal re-enables PHP mail.
